Application

The Twin-industry BCXpro mower series is equipped with a very powerful, double-sided angular gearbox from the well-known Italian manufacturer Comer and can therefore also be used optimally by large tractors as front or rear mulchers. With an available working width of up to 310 cm and a hydraulic side shift of up to 500 mm, the professional flail mowers can also be used on very large areas. In conjunction with a suitable tractor, Twin-industry BCXpro mowers are superior to almost any type of vegetation, even on large areas, and enable a very high working efficiency even with stubborn plants. A key factor in the performance of the BCXpro series is the new PowerCut® rotor shaft, which has 40% more hammer flails. This increases the efficiency of the BCXpro mulchers enormously. You can use this, for example, to drive at a higher speed than previously possible - provided there are only minor bumps in the ground. This increases the hourly output and significantly reduces costs.

Technical

hydraulic side shift:The practical 500 mm hydraulic side shift eliminates the need for tedious manoeuvring in narrow bends and makes mowing under fences and bushes much easier. This function requires a double-acting hydraulic control circuit on your tractor.

hardened flails:Up to 44 of the 1400 g hardened flails enable an ideal mowing result that can also cope with tough undergrowth and bushes with a diameter of more than 30 mm. A total of 36 to 44 of these powerful flails are fitted to the newly developed PowerCut® rotor shaft. Additional replaceable counter blades inside the rotary mower ensure an even better effect when cutting grasses. The cutting height can be adjusted via the self-cleaning trailing roller. The freely adjustable trailing roller also makes it possible to compensate for bumps in the ground so that the flails cannot touch the ground during mowing.

Comer freewheel gearbox:The large Comer freewheel gearbox ensures that the heavy flail shaft can run after the PTO drive is switched off without the movement being transferred to the tractor. Solid metal stone guard slats fitted to the front of the mower prevent stones and other foreign objects from flying around.

The double-sided Comer angular gearbox also enables operation at the front of the vehicle with appropriately equipped tractors. The Comer gearbox is operated at a PTO shaft speed of 1000 rpm. The Bowell BCXpro mulchers are already equipped with a double three-point linkage, so that a quick change between front and rear mounting is possible at any time.

The Ywin-industry BCXpro mulchers are already equipped with a double three-point linkage, so that a quick change between front and rear mounting is possible at any time.


Twin-industry BCXpro flail mowers are factory fitted with Twin-industry Power Efficiency technology. Your tractor must have a front and rear PTO speed of 1000 rpm for this and can therefore work more efficiently with lower fuel consumption. Twin-industry Power Efficiency technology saves fuel from the very first metre, at no extra cost.  

The new Twin-industry 5-fold belt drive with 22 mm wide drive belts and correspondingly reinforced belt pulleys guarantees almost 100% power transmission even with these large working widths and despite the high shaft and flail weight, with a barely measurable loss of power and minimal wear. The new belt cover allows the belt tension to be checked in seconds without having to remove the cover.

SKF ball bearings and performance rotor with PowerCut®

The BCXpro flail mowers are equipped with large SKF rotor shaft ball bearings, which are anchored in solid CNC-machined bearing seats. This is also necessary because the heavy laser-balanced rotor shaft rotates at 2350 rpm and thus shreds the clippings to a minimum so that they can decompose quickly. The PowerCut® rotor shaft is specially optimised. The flails are arranged in a spiral so that no more than three flails cut the grass at the same time, despite the large working width and number of flails. This reduces the effort required considerably.

Variable rear roller position

Depending on the material to be chopped, the technical requirements of the mulcher can vary. The Bowell BCXpro mulcher therefore has a trailing roller that can be mounted in two different positions. If the material is placed in front of the roller and then driven over by it, it is compressed, which is irrelevant if it is subsequently worked in with a roundabout harrow or rotary tiller. However, if the material is placed behind the roller - i.e. not compressed - it rots faster and more light and air reaches the meadow below. On uneven surfaces, a small distance between the trailing roller and the rotor shaft can be advantageous for ground levelling. The chopped material is then deposited behind the support roller. However, with dry chopped material such as maize straw, this can lead to a lot of churning, which can impair the cooling performance of the tractor engine when mounted at the front.
